1. What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies Coastline CRM, Inc. (“Coastline,” “we,” “us”) uses on coastlinecrm.com and in our CRM application, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information more broadly.
2. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Cookies let a site recognize your browser on later visits so you can stay signed in, keep settings, and move between pages without starting over. “Similar technologies” include things like local storage and session storage, which serve similar purposes.
3. Cookies we use
We keep our use of cookies narrow. Today, we use one category only:
Strictly necessary
- Authentication session cookie: set by our authentication provider (Supabase) after you sign in. It keeps you signed in as you move between pages and refreshes. Without it, the Service cannot sign you in.
We also use browser local storage in the signed-in app to remember interface preferences on your device (for example, which view you last used, sidebar state, or theme). This is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to us as a cookie.
4. Cookies we do not use
At this time we do not use:
- Advertising or retargeting cookies.
- Cross-site tracking cookies.
- Third-party analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, PostHog, and similar).
- Social-media pixels.
If that changes, we will update this policy and, for non-essential cookies placed on visitors in the EEA, UK, or any region that requires consent, ask for your consent before setting them.
5. How to control cookies
Every major browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies for individual sites or across the board. Instructions for the most common browsers:
Note: blocking the authentication session cookie will prevent you from signing in to the Service.
6. Do Not Track
Because we do not use cross-site tracking cookies, we do not take additional action in response to browser “Do Not Track” signals. If we begin using tracking cookies, we will honor legally recognized opt-out signals (such as Global Privacy Control) where required.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. If a change is material (for example, if we begin using analytics or advertising cookies), we will update the “Last updated” date and, where required, present a consent banner before any new non-essential cookies are set.
