How do I create roles and adjust who can do what?
Build custom roles with the exact permissions your team should have, and assign them to teammates.
Open Settings → Roles. The default roles (Admin, Location Admin, Sales Rep, Office, Marketing, Subcontractor) cover most teams out of the box. To customize, duplicate the closest role, give it a name, and toggle each permission on or off. Permissions are grouped by area (Contacts, Pipeline, Billing, Settings, Automations, and more), and any destructive or financial permission is flagged with a warning so you can see at a glance what a role can do.
Assign roles to teammates from Settings → Team by editing each member. Changes apply immediately. Every permission and role change is recorded in the audit log at the bottom of the Roles page, so you have a complete history of who changed what and when.
