Current lives inside your workspace. Ask Current to create tasks, extract information from documents, and get answers based on your actual data.
What Current does
Most AI features are a demo wearing a product's name. Current is built around two jobs your team actually does every week, then gets out of the way.
Ask in plain English. Current writes the query, runs the report, and explains what it found. No SQL. No filter trees. No waiting on someone with database access.
Drop a photo, PDF, or scanned document. Current reads the merchant, amount, and date, then drafts the expense or bill for you to review. Snap from your phone, finish on your laptop.
More on the way.
Email drafting from a thread. Pipeline-stage suggestions based on past wins. Voice-note-to-task. We ship Current the same way we ship the rest of Coastline: only when it's actually useful.
How it works
Current never saves, sends, or changes anything without you. Every output is a draft, every draft is editable.
Type a question into the report assistant, or drop a document into a bill or expense. Current picks up the context from where you are in the app.
It interprets your request, builds a draft, and shows you what it did. Reports come with a rationale. Documents come with the extracted fields highlighted.
Edit, accept, or discard. Nothing hits your workspace, your books, or your team until you say so. Current is a draft writer, not a decider.
Why Current is different
We didn't build Current to wow anyone in a demo. We built it to save your team twenty minutes on a Tuesday. That sounds smaller than the marketing on most AI sites. It's also true.
Current shows up where you already work. It doesn't open a new tab, doesn't add a new login, and doesn't need training data on your customers to do its job.
Your data, your rules.
Your customer information is never used to train Current or any model behind it. Documents are processed for the request and not retained beyond it.
Per-workspace permissions.
Current respects every role, every gate, every share rule already in your workspace. If you can't see an opportunity, neither can it.
Plain-English answers.
Every chart Current builds comes with a written rationale. No mystery. No hand-waving. You see what it asked your data and why.
Always a draft.
Nothing posts, sends, or commits without your click. Reports stay private until shared. Extractions stay in draft until saved.

No. Coastline does not train models on your customer information. When Current sends a request to its underlying AI provider, that data is processed for the request and is not retained for training.
Current is built on top of Claude by Anthropic, with the specific model chosen for each task based on cost, latency, and accuracy. We may change models over time as better options ship. The Coastline interface stays the same.
Every output is a draft. Reports are proposals you can run, edit, or discard. Extractions are pre-filled forms you review before saving. Current is a writer, never a final editor.
Yes. Current can only read and write what your role allows. If you can't see an opportunity in the app, Current can't see it either. The same role and share rules apply.
Document scanning is included for every workspace at no extra cost. The report assistant and saved custom reports are part of the Advanced Analytics add-on, available from the Marketplace.
Not today. Current proposes, you approve. As we add agentic capabilities (e.g. drafting an email or creating a task), they will always start as suggestions you confirm before anything is sent or saved.
Document scanning is included on every Coastline plan. Advanced Analytics unlocks the report assistant whenever you want it.
