How do I create my first automation?

Build a workflow that runs automatically when something happens in your CRM.

Open Automations from the sidebar and click "New automation." Pick a trigger such as "Opportunity stage changed" or "New contact created," set any filters that narrow when it should fire (a specific pipeline, a specific stage, a specific lead source), then add one or more actions: send an email, send a text, create a task, assign an owner, post to a channel, and more.

Use the Test run button in the builder to send a sample event through and confirm everything wires up correctly. Toggle the automation on when you're ready. Automations only run on events that happen after they're turned on; existing records do not backfill.
