How do I change what Projects and Opportunities are called?
Rename the words your workspace uses for opportunities, projects, and the sales rep, project manager, and AR owner roles.
You can rename opportunities, projects, and the sales rep, project manager, and AR owner roles under Settings, Workspace, Terminology, so the whole app speaks your words instead of the built-in ones. Type a singular and a plural for each name you want to change, then Save. Every member of your workspace sees the new words on the next page load, and so do your customers on the pages and emails you send them.
Only the words change. Web addresses stay the same, so a link to a project keeps working after you rename it. The public API and any tools you have connected keep using the original words, so an integration you built does not break. Help articles keep the original words too, so a search still finds them. Anything you have already sent, like a text or an email, keeps the words it was written with, because it is a record of what you sent.
A few things cannot be renamed: Contacts, Contractors, Vendors, Team, Estimates, and Invoices. Everything else on the Terminology page is yours to change, and you can return any name to its original at any time with the reset control next to it.
If you rename opportunities or projects, Current still understands both your word and the original one, so you can ask it either way and it answers in your words.
