Which email address does Coastline send my emails from?

Emails go out from your connected email account. The From line at the top of the email window shows the exact address.

Coastline sends your emails from the email account you connected, and the From line at the top of the email window shows exactly which address that is. If you have not connected an account, Coastline sends from its own address instead, with your name on it, and replies go to the email you sign in with.

Where to see it

Open a new email, a reply, or a forward. The From line sits above To. It is there for reference; you cannot change it from the email window.

When your email account is connected

From shows your connected address, for example jamie@yourcompany.com, and your recipient sees the email as coming from you. To connect or reconnect an account, see How do I connect my email inbox?.

When no email account is connected

From shows your name followed by "via Coastline" and the address noreply@coastlinecrm.com. That is the sender your recipient sees. Hover over the line to see where replies go: they land in the email you sign in to Coastline with, not in the Coastline inbox, because no inbox is connected.

To send from your own address and keep replies in the Coastline inbox, connect your email account under My Account → Email.

If your connection has expired

If your email provider needs you to sign in again, Coastline cannot send from your account, and the From line switches to the Coastline address because that is what the email would go out as. Reconnect under My Account → Email to go back to sending from your own address.

Automations, campaigns, and sequences

These never send from the Coastline address. If your account is not connected or needs reconnecting, those emails are not sent. Reconnect under My Account → Email to start sending them again.
