Connect Gmail

Send, receive, and track email from your Gmail inbox inside Coastline.

What you get

Once connected, every email you send or receive through Coastline flows through your Gmail account. Threads are automatically linked to the matching contact or project, so your conversation history lives right alongside the job.

Connect your account

  1. Go to Settings → Account → Email & Inbox.
  2. Click Connect email account.
  3. Choose Gmail and sign in to your Google account.
  4. Grant the permissions Coastline requests (read, compose, and send mail on your behalf). Coastline never stores your password.

Your Gmail inbox now appears under the Email tab in the sidebar.

Sending email

Compose from the Email tab or directly from a contact, opportunity, or project detail page. Replies land in your Gmail inbox and sync back to Coastline automatically.

Things to know

  • Only one email account can be connected per workspace member. To switch accounts, disconnect the current one first under Settings → Account → Email & Inbox.
  • Email you send directly from Gmail (outside Coastline) will not appear in Coastline.
  • Attachments are capped at 25 MB per send, matching Gmail's own limit.
  • If you also use Google Calendar, connect that separately under Settings → Account → Calendar.
