Connect Coastline to Zapier

Automate workflows between Coastline and thousands of apps with no-code Zaps.

What you get

Zapier lets you connect Coastline to apps like Google Sheets, Slack, Mailchimp, and thousands of others. Build "Zaps" that trigger when something happens in Coastline and take action in another app, or vice versa, all without writing code.

Get your API key

  1. Go to Settings → Developer → API Keys.
  2. Click New key, give it a name (e.g. "Zapier"), and copy the generated key.

Set up a Zap

In Zapier, Coastline is connected using a Webhook trigger or action:

Trigger (Coastline → other app):

  1. In Zapier, create a new Zap with Webhooks by Zapier as the trigger.
  2. Choose Catch Hook.
  3. In Coastline, go to Settings → Developer → Webhooks → New webhook.
  4. Paste the Zapier webhook URL and choose the events to send (e.g. "Invoice paid", "Contact created").
  5. Zapier will receive a sample payload the next time the event fires.

Action (other app → Coastline):

  1. In Zapier, add a Webhooks by Zapier action step.
  2. Choose POST and enter the Coastline API endpoint (e.g. https://api.coastlinecrm.com/v1/contacts).
  3. Add a header: Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY.
  4. Map the fields from the trigger to the Coastline API body.

Common use cases

  • Create a Coastline contact when a new lead fills out a Typeform or Jotform.
  • Log a message in a Slack channel when an invoice is paid.
  • Add a row to a Google Sheet when a new opportunity is created.
  • Create a Coastline project when an opportunity moves to a certain stage.

Things to know

  • Zapier has its own subscription plan requirements for multi-step Zaps. Free Zapier accounts can run simple single-step Zaps.
  • For rate limits and full API documentation, see Settings → Developer → API Keys → View docs.
