How do I choose the default country for phone numbers?
Set your workspace country to choose the default calling code and the first country in phone menus.
Choose Country in Settings under your company profile to set the default country for new phone entries. Phone menus list your workspace country first, United States second when different, and the remaining countries alphabetically. If your workspace country is United States, it appears only once.
The closed selector shows just the calling code, such as +55. The menu shows the full country name and code, while the number field shows the national number without repeating the calling code. You can choose a different country for any number. Pasting a number with an explicit international prefix selects that number’s country when it can be identified.
Changing the workspace country does not rewrite existing phone numbers. It also does not change when a teammate travels or uses a VPN. Workspaces without a country configured use United States.
You can manage this alongside the other details in your company profile. If you cannot edit the setting, check who can change workspace settings.
