How do I email a group of contacts at once?

Send a broadcast. You pick a group of contacts, write one message, and Coastline sends a separate, individually personalized email to each person from your own connected email account. Nobody is on a visible list with anyone else, and each recipient can reply to you directly.

There are two places to start one today.

From Contacts. Filter or search the list until it holds the people you want, tick the ones you want (or use the filter as-is), then open the Actions menu. Choose Email selected to mail the ticked contacts, or Email all matching to mail everyone the current filter finds, including the ones further down the list you have not scrolled to.

From a saved report. Open a saved report whose rows are records rather than totals, and click Bulk email. Reports built on opportunities, projects, invoices, estimates and contacts all work, because each of those records points at a contact to email. This is the route to take when the group you want is defined by something other than contact details, for example every opportunity in a given stage or every invoice past due.

Either way you go through the same four steps: check who it will reach, write the message, preview it against real contacts, and send.

Every broadcast automatically gets an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You do not add it and you cannot remove it.

Once a broadcast is on its way, you can watch it at Campaigns, Broadcasts (/campaigns/broadcasts). Each one shows how many have sent, failed or been skipped, and lists the individual recipients with their status.
